Dinesh Phadnis was conceded to the healing center on December 1. Dayanand Shetty, who shared screen space with Dinesh in ‘CID’, has been sharing updates about the actor’s health since then. According to reports, Dinesh Phadnis died at 12:08 am on December 5 in Mumbai’s Tunga Hospital.
He suffer from multiple organ failure and was remove from the ventilator last night. He died at the age of 57 after suffering from extensive liver damage. His passing was affirmed by his driving on-screen character Dayanand Shetty.

Dinesh Phadnis, famous for his role as Fredrick AKA Freddy Sir in ‘CID’, died due to a liver issue on December 5. His untimely demise made his friends, family and the whole world devastated. His ‘CID’ co-stars Shivaji Satam, Tanya Abrol, Shraddha Musle, Ajay Nagrath and Vivek Mashru took to their respective social media pages to pay tribute to the late actor.

On Tuesday, Ajay Nagrath, who played a pivotal role in ‘CID’ took to Instagram to share the unfortunate news . He wrote, “Can’t believe you left us for heavenly abode afterwards. Rest in peace Freddy Sir you’re forever in our hearts. Om Shanti (sic).” Alongside the note, Ajay also shared a few stills of himself with Dinesh from the sets of ‘CID’.
Dr Tarika, ACP Pradyuman and Vivek Mashru posted their feelings for Freddy Sir.
Shraddha Musle, who featured on the investigative show as Dr Tarika, took to Instagram and wrote, “We will miss you Freddy Sir after all. #cid #cidcop #sweetestsoul #dineshphadnis #RIP (sic).” ‘CID’s ACP Pradyuman AKA Shivaji Satam posted a collage of Dinesh’s pictures and wrote, “Dinesh Phadnis, simple, humble, lovable (sic).”
Vivek Mashru, who played a significant role in ‘CID’, shared a throwback picture of himself with Dinesh. “Miss You Freddy Sir RIP #rip #dineshphadnis #cid (sic) all in all”, he wrote.
